Overview

Selling a cozy slice of Melaka’s culinary charm, Sell Fish Restaurant anchors itself as a destination for lovers of Chinese noodles with a seafood twist. Nestled at 756D, Jalan Emas in Taman Kerjasama, Bukit Beruang, this humble eatery brings forward authentic flavors centered around fish-based soups and rice dishes, appealing especially to those who seek hearty, comforting meals.

The standout feature has to be their diverse soup offerings—creamy milk broth, yam soup, tom yam, and curry soups form the heart of their menu. Each bowl strikes a delicate balance; the yam soup is particularly praised for its generous chunks of yam, fish fillet, and fresh vegetables, delivering warmth and satisfaction in every spoonful. Curry fish paste noodles and sweet and sour fillet also reveal the kitchen’s skill in marrying texture and bold, clean flavors without overwhelming saltiness. The presence of traditional items like 八宝凉茶 (eight-treasure herbal tea) and red bean soup as dessert options further enrich the dining experience, rooting it firmly in Chinese culinary tradition.

Patrons appreciate the freshness and variety of fish parts available, allowing each diner a tailored experience. The rice vermicelli, often paired with the rich broths, absorbs the flavors well, making each bite a harmonious blend of texture and taste. Beyond the food, customers find the service prompt and polite, enhancing the wholesome feel of the establishment.

Regarding the atmosphere, the restaurant keeps a simple, clean setup with reasonable hygiene standards. Some have noted the air circulation could improve, but this does little to dampen the overall welcoming environment. Practical touches like wheelchair accessibility and nearby roadside parking increase its appeal to a broad audience, from families to solo diners eager for a quick, satisfying meal.

Sell Fish Restaurant targets the local crowd and visitors alike who appreciate authentic Chinese noodle dishes, fresh fish preparations, and warm, soulful soups. Its presence on popular delivery platforms further extends reach, catering to modern dining preferences without sacrificing authenticity.

In essence, Sell Fish Restaurant offers a refined yet unpretentious taste of Melaka’s Chinese seafood noodle heritage. It invites patrons to indulge in generous portions highlighted by thoughtfully prepared broths and fresh ingredients, making it a must-try for anyone venturing into Bukit Beruang’s food scene.

Shop Type: Restaurant This is a restaurant mainly selling fish dishes cooked with rice and rice vermicelli (bihun). They have a few types of soup that you can choose from, ranging from Tomyam all the way to yam soup. I love the soup and the rice vermicelli. It was so good and not too salty as what other restaurants tend to cook. I've tried both yam soup and the curry flavours and both of them were very NICE! They use all parts of the fish to cook and you can choose your favourite parts to order from the menu uploaded down below. Hope those pictures help! Inside the shop, it was a little bit stuffy, I don't know why. However, it was still acceptable for me coz I love their food. I hope they would improve the air ventilation issue in the future. Speaking of its hygiene, I feel that the shop is very clean and the overall eating ambience is great, except that it is a little bit stuffy :D Also, the workers are very friendly and nice. They are very polite and very careful when serving the hot food to the customers. The prices of the food are shown in the pictures uploaded down below. For me, the prices are still considered as affordable coz fishes nowadays are not cheap and the food portion is quite big as well. To encapsulate all this, I'd definitely recommend this to my friends and family members. If you love fish, you should definitely try this out. However, one man's meat is another man's poison, these are just my two cents and you might have different opinions as mine. XD

This is a simple restaurant in Bukit Beruang area. The set up is simple. The restaurant serves noodles and rice. The noodles can be served in clear soup, tom yam soup, milk soup or curry. The curry noodles tasted good. Simple drink options are available. Pleasantly surprised that "tong sui" red bean soup is available. Prices are reasonable. Only cash is accepted here. Cleanliness is good. Service is fast. Grab Food Delivery, Foodpanda and Lolol delivery services are available here. Parkings are roadside parkings. Handicapped patrons on wheelchairs can patronize this restaurant easily. 18-08-2022 : Business is back to normal. Minimal increase in prices. Food portions and quality were maintained. 06-02-2023 : Business is back to normal. Crowd is back. Prices still competitive. 19-03-2025 : Enjoyed and recommend Yam Soup Fish Maw, Fish Paste and Fish Fillet Noodles. Prices still competitive.

The fish head soup mihun is pretty good. A few soup flavours are available - yam soup, clear soup, tomyam soup, curry soup and sour spicy soup. The yam soup is quite special. Tried the ginger onion fish fillet rice too, it was okay. Price per bowl is around RM10++. The place is air-conditioned. Only one minus for this place - the cleanliness.

Tasty fried fish flake nuggets, solid chunk and delicious with the chilli dip. Yam soup vermicelli noodles is my repeated order so far. Today tried the Red bean dessert soup, it is pretty good. They recently added new set meal so maybe next time we will try. Only downside is transaction in cash only. Ambient ⭐⭐⭐ Flavour ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Value ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Locality ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Cleanliness ⭐⭐⭐⭐ All the above is just my personal opinion, "to know what honey tastes like, you have to try it one time".
